In Torrance, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across California, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Torrance is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Torrance is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Horrid service, one of the shorter old ladies who served us was shaming us for not knowing how to order, but we hadnt even really started. Also we honestly order pretty correctly when we were. We came in normal and were talking normally, but she basically switched up when she started taking our order.

Their bagels are out of this world! The rainbow bagels are especially fun because when you cut them open, the colors are so vibrant β€” but they still have that classic water bagel flavor, which makes them delightful. I’ve started making it a little tradition to try one new thing each time I go in. This time I got a sample of their cabbage soup, and it was amazing β€” that’s definitely my plan for next time. Oh, and the cherry turnovers? πŸ’•πŸ’• So good!

Very basic with limited seating opportunities. Bagel was quite small and despite menu mentioned mushrooms in the American Bagel I did not find a single mushroom in mine. Only eggs and Spinach.

Popular spot with kind staff. Good variety of bagels (I like egg and my wife likes salted bagels. They had both). Iced coffee had the exceptional touch of using frozen coffee for the ice cubes.
